After 2 years of great hosting with Dreamhost, I've moved my site to the server which is based in this part of Europe. That said, the speed of site should be much better for all the visitors from the old continent, just to let you know ;)

2. music workshop Ustvarjalko, that will take place this August in the oldest Slovenian city Ptuj and will include international professors and students, has a new, slightly redesigned website - you can check it out on the www.ustvarjalko.si.

A new project added to the portfolio - I made the design for the personal website of Jo Swinney, author of the book "Through the Dark Woods".

Temporary website for the new Rajko Grlić's movie called "Neka ostane među nama" ("Just between us") is online. Since in pre-production phase, we decided to go with the minimalist design for now - see for yourself at - www.nekaostanemedjunama.com.

Website for the summer music workshop "Ustvarjalko" that was held in the summer 2007, got few more mentions, as I discovered going through the site statistics.
First of all, a big thanks to the Vandelay Website Design who included it in their list called "25 Beautifully Colorful Websites", alongside some crème of today's web design - thanks again! :) Also, two CSS showcase sites included "Ustvarjalko", so a big thanks goes to CSS star and CSS Loggia!

Very busy ending of the last year and even busier start of the new one brought us some new projects - on some I worked only as a designer, on some I also made the XHTML templates, and some I made the whole sites - you can check few of them in my portfolio.

The future looks, as you can guess, very busy - I have few projects that I'm currently working on, in different stages of design/development, and even more of them in the planning department - stay tuned! :)

These has been couple of very exciting and very very busy months for me, and the pressure is still not dropping! But just to keep you informed (since I got few emails asking if I'm still in business and two asking if I'm still alive!):

• On a personal level, I moved with my girlfriend to a new apartment. Some stuff in the new flat are still not finished due to the lack of free time (my big CD shelf is still waiting to be put on the wall), but we're loving it here!
• Also, I opened a firm! Plastikfantastik is the name, of course, so the new website will be in order - hopefully, sometime early next year. I know it should be on top of my priorities, cause one has to take care of this things, but currently the clients are at the top of my list (read bellow).
• In cooperation with great guys from Bulgarian MTR Design, I'm currently finishing the design for one Bulgarian software company (web design, newsletter and forum design). Also, with the same guys, I'm working as a designer in a very interesting (and time demanding!) project on a big web application for American client (sorry, can't say anything more)!
• Few other smaller projects, and negotiations about some new ones, are also taking place as we speak, but let's leave it to that. ;)
• And, as the Germans would say, Zucker kommt zu letzt: for few months now I'm a proud owner own my best photo camera so far - Nikon D80 with the fabulous 18-200mm lens (Nikon AF-S DX VR 18-200mm 3,5-5,6 G IF-ED, for those who are interested in the tech details). Been shooting with it on two rock festivals this summer plus some other gigs, and have to say I'm really really satisfied with it! Unfortunately, cause of the already mentioned lack of free time, the photo gallery hasn't been updated with these new shots, but I have some plans with it in the future, so…

Anyway, I guess you can understand why I haven't been posting news regularly! Stay well! :)

Just finished the visual redesign of the front-end of this (probably #1) mailing list and insert directory, plus the strict XHTLM/CSS templates for a few typical pages.

I just finished presentational CD portfolio (basically, simple HTML site) for Ana Pečar, Slovenian video artist, VJ and graphical artist and "Slovenian VJ of the year 2006".

terapija.net, e-zine about music and movies, that I started with few friend seven years ago, got featured today on the Croatian National Television (HRT)! :)

My first featured site on Design Meltdown, legendary design portal / blog! :) It's dobri duhovi, and it's in the old paper section - thanks a lot, Patrick! ;)

A little update of the current (and finished) activities would be in order, I'd say! :) So, here it goes:

• I finished the redesign for the Bulgarian company MTR-Design (they are currently in the process of making the HTML/CSS templates) which was an excellent collaboration
• in the last few days I was occupied with the modification of the ASP code since our site terapija.net has been moved to another server (a one in Croatia, so terapija.net should work much faster now for the local visitors)
• last but not least, I'm just in the final phase with the website for a very cool Serbian band called Lira Vega - check www.liravega.com in few days! ;)

Oh, and yes! :) This site was mentioned in the article about "five beautiful sites that are under 650 pixels in width" by Ray Stone, an Australian CSS designer. Thnx a lot mate! :)

New website for a Slovenian film and theater production company called Gustav film was published - I did the design, while Implique multimedia did the programming part.

Website for the movie Border Post was chosen as one of the Top 10 websites in the category "Fun, fashion, music" in the "Vidi Web Top 100" contest (Vidi is one of the leading computer magazines in Croatia). :)

krankenHaus is online!
legendary Croatian band (although not playing any more) is finally on the net. read everything you always wanted to know about krankenHaus but were afraid to ask @ www.krankenhaus-band.info!

I finally updated some photos - music ones, to be precise. You can check them in the photo section; the rest of them (from other the other categories especially) are still waiting for more free time.
I'm currently finishing the website to mark the 10th anniversary of the first album (to be remastered and published again soon) of a legendary Croatian band called krankenHaus - though they're not active for some time now, they definitely deserve this.

Two new web projects were published: redesign for the Croatian Institute of transportation and communication (Institut prometa i veza, Zagreb) and a website for a Croatian band called "dobri duhovi" ("good ghosts").

After one incredible month spend on holidays in Australia (great country, I mean, continent) and after 2 weeks of acclimatization to everyday working life, I feel kind of "normal" again - expect some updates these days (2 new web projects and a lot of photos).

I was working really hard for the past few months and now I'm going on a well deserved holiday Down Under. :)
I'll be away till the mid August, and very probably won't be reading e-mail at all or reading it not so often. Anyhow, I wish you all a very hot & juicy summer, we'll be together in new adventures in no time!

Whoa! Pixelpusher just pointed to my attention some weird stuff - not just that this guy borrowed a lot from my design of this website (removed from his website soon after this note), but he also claims that I copied his! And since it seems that this guy wants to be a web designer (he also has his own "web & graphic design awards" webpage - which looks nice, btw., off course, if that is his own design) he should really know better than this; I mean to copy something is one thing, but to claim that yours is original... Weird stuff, girls and boys, weird stuff...

plastikfantastik* was successfully recoded from the old ASP version to the new PHP based version cause I've moved the site to another server (not a windows based one). As you can see, design stayed the same, but the fabulous bananadmin CMS by my friend Bane should help me in updating this site more regularly. Well, yes, hm... :)

Redesign of the first Croatian portal of online and offline games is over and new nagradne-igre.hr was successfully launched!

It's been almost 3 months since my last update but I can assure you it's not because I've been lazy! :)
Some really big changes took place in my personal and professional life (read it in the updated about section if you're interested) and I haven't really had some free time since I-don't-know when! :)
Anyway, enough with this personal life crap, I've updated a portfolio a bit (interactive and photography sections both) and hopefully, there will be some more updates / projects worth mentioning soon!

My plan to finally finish the redesign of the plastikfantastik* website has been postponed for a while since I'm currently working on a new project - I'm doing the redesign & complete CMS in ASP for Slovenian institute MER Evrocenter. It's a bit of a job but will be done sometime this month.
Plus, EB online got another mention - this time on a German personal design blog pixelgangster.de in the "HTML, xHTML, CSS" section. Thanx Robert! ;)

I'm currently working on the design of this website to make it more like a real site and less like a "one page soon to be site thing". :) So, check this site soon...

I'm currently working on a website for a Slovenian band called Melodrom. They play really cool music, sort of trip hop meets a lot of different things stuff. Plus, they're cool in at least one other sense - they do all of the "non-music related" things concerning the bend themselves: poster design, CD cover design, videos, photos... so they also started doing the web (design is based on their debut album cover) and I just continued their flash journey :)
